Halifax Robert L. Stanfield International

Halifax Robert L. Stanfield International Airport (YHZ) selected Infax to provide complete system integration and project management for their Flight Information Management System (FIMS), encompassing traditional Flight Information Display System and Resource Management System functionality, including gate management.

The Infax solution included overall project management, configuration of the FIMS, migration from old to the new system, and long-term technical support.

Infax developed custom SQL database queries and published these for use by the Halifax Digital Display System and provided XML data feeds to the airport’s paging system and web site. Additionally, Infax published XML data for future use by other Halifax systems. Airline interfaces were provided for Delta, United, US Airways, Porter and Westjet. The Infax system also interfaces with live FAA data feeds via FlightStats.

Infax partnered with Ascent Technology to be the RMS (Resource Management System) provider. Additionally, Ascent provided an interface to the Air Canada live data feed.

The installation took place over a six month period and was completed in early June of 2013.
